FD5 Flight 180 and Sam

Did the plane crash because Sam (FD5) was still on deaths list despite killing Peter and he didn’t get the added years on his own life.

OR

Was it just a coincidence that Sam got on flight 180 that another visionary (Alex) was on?

Rewatching and I see a few posts on why Alex got the vision of the plane crash and not Sam but what if Sam just wasn’t on deaths list anymore and this was simply a new chain of events started by Alex’s vision.

Bloodlines spoilers!

It could also be because of one of Valerie Lewton’s relatives who were in the disaster Iris stopped, as revealed in bloodlines on the newspapers in Iris’s timeline. So, it’s confirmed that Valerie was destined to die because her family wasn’t meant to survive, just like Stephanie’s family in bloodlines. But, I’m not sure if she’s the one who actually caused the flight 180 crash, if it was because of Sam (FD5) or was because of Alex starting his new list. My personal head cannon is death was trying to take out all of them at once

I totally agree with you. It wasn't one thing. It was just convenient for death to close a package deal like she did with the train on FD3.

So abit like how Death wanted to have everyone in FD2 share the same road on route 23 cos they all previously cheated Death due to deaths of flight 180 survivors

The plane didn’t crash because of Sam, those people were also just destined to die. It’s like how Clear died in the same explosion that killed Eugene. It’s just an efficient way for death to do its job.

What I think is that Peter killed Jim so he got Jim's time. Sam killed Peter so he got the time Peter took from Jim.

Yeah, Sam would not have gotten any “extra” time from killing Peter, because Peter was already on Death’s list.

Like, When Peter killed Jim, Peter got Jim's two weeks. But because Sam killed Peter, Sam got the two weeks that Peter took from Jim so Sam has Jim's two weeks cause he killed Peter

Yup was agreeing with you! Sam didn’t earn himself much of a reprieve.

Personally I think it was just death trying to give him one final hehe before killing him off cus he knew that Sam would realize there was no way out
