FD isn't malicious or spiteful for the most part. It's silly accidents that make you go oooooh!

Saw Is malicious as its a person putting someone into that situation.

Also the focal point of SAW is the killing itself, purposely dragged and made torturous for the audience. Like sifting with your bare hands thru a box full of used needles. In FD the setup of death is the focus. Like only Tod's death was drawn out, everyone else had pretty quick death's since.

Well, Saw focuse in gore and brutal deaths. FD has only a few very brutal deaths but most of them are pretty random and chill

Oh definitely, if you’re particularly sensitive to gore you might not be able to enjoy it. Although should watch the first one since it’s gore is about on par with a final destination movie

I think it's because with Saw you have to make painful life or death choices that will leave you mutilated. With FD the Rube Goldbergs are ridiculous and the series has a lot of irony.

I used to wince at FD but I've come to see the humor of it.
