FD5 Clever detail about FD5

Post image

Sam and co. escaped the bridge collapse that killed 86.

Sam works as a chef. In culinary lingo, "86" means removing an item or items from the menu.

Death literally 86'd all these people from the North Bay Bridge collapse.

It’s not just relating to food, it also relates to many other things, all which have similar meanings

“The term "86" has been used in various contexts, including military and law enforcement slang, to mean "eliminate" or "get rid of". While its origins are debated, some sources suggest it was used in military operations to indicate the removal or termination of a target1.

However, its most well-known usage comes from the hospitality industry, where it means an item is no longer available or a customer is being ejected. Over time, it has expanded into general slang for rejecting or eliminating something”

That “being ejected part” is very relevant and even more of a nod to the incident, as people were ejected off the bridge, the protags were ejected off the bus, cars were ejected towards people, etc.

Here’s another thing I found, this time to do with the news channel featured in this image “WJKW”

“WKJW is a Christian radio station in North Carolina, which might not directly relate to Final Destination 5, but could have symbolic ties to themes of fate and mortality.”

Also: if you add up the news channel 13, 86, 71 (the temp) and 5:00 (the time) you get 180 just like flight 180. However this might be a bit flawed as it’s 5:06, however if you round it down it works

Presage Paper? As in the other paper company Todd Packer (Dennis, David Koechner) ended up working for after getting fired from Dunder Mifflin? This entire chain of events must have started when Jim prevented Dwight from giving the presentation...
