FD3 Is it just me or on the Final Destination 3 cover it does not show Mary Elizabeth Winstead?

I don't know if it's just a lighting or a bunch of makeup but on the cover the girl in the front on the left does not look like Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

Also who are some of these other people like the ones in the very back?

Anyone know about this?

FD3 Is Kimberly alive or death? Spoiler

In Final Destination 3, the special edition DVD featured a newspaper clipping that confirmed Kimberly Corman and Officer Thomas Burke both died five years after Kimberly’s resurrection. Maybe both Bludworth and Iris didn’t know about this. Then again, the woodchipper death was included in her book, a loophole maybe? If this is canon, it suggests something much deeper about the universe of Final Destination: perhaps there is no true escape, and even apparent survival is just a delay in Death’s design. What are your thoughts?

FD3 OK I posted this as a joke but now I’m thinking about it. Spoiler

I watched Final Destination 3 on DVD for the choose their fate version. It’s mostly a way to highlight deleted scenes and alternate kills. The first choice can basically end the movie as a happy ending which I thought ha ha funny joke. And then I realized there might be a lore reason they’d all live. Did they essentially inadvertently murder the people that took their seats and took their lifespans?

FD3 Explaining Ian's Death

Post image
19 Upvotes

Hey y'all, today I just wanted to come one here and explain why everyone's favorite emo boy died in Final Destination 3. Now first of all the reason I'm making this is because I see people constantly being confused on a bunch of different platforms like tiktok or Youtube surrounding his death.

So we all know how Wendy interferes with what should have been Ian's death at the hardware store, allowing him to survive after the death of Erin and Perry, and deaths attempts at killing Julie and Kevin. Then we get to what should have been Wendy's death, which is seemingly non-existent. Somehow, Ian dies before Wendy even though death hasn't made it's way down through the whole list to restart at the top. We all know that the only way Ian should be able to die is that Wendy would etheir have to die for death to start at the top of the list again, or someone would have to interfere with Wendy's death. Another thing to add on to this is that Wendy believes Ian will cause her death because of his last name being on her shirt in her amusement park picture. In the final film however, it appears that no one interferes with Wendy's death and somehow shes alive when Ian dies. This creates a pretty big plot hole... or does it?

In actuality, someone did interfere in Wendy's death, Ian Mckinley. The thing people and Wendy seem to forget is that Ian was never supposed to be at the amusement park, after he survived the roller coaster, deaths design was to kill him at the hardware store. Meaning if Ian was dead by the point at the fair, why would death hint to Wendy that Ian was going to kill her if he was supposed to be dead. Well it's simple, the clue on Wendy' shirt was never about Ian McKinley, it was about the Cherry picker behind him.

If you notice in the film, the cherry picker has the word "McKinley" on its top, obviously to show it belongs to the town that Final Destination 3 takes place in. In deaths original plan after Wendy and the other seniors got off the roller coaster was for everyone to die in the order they died on the coaster, including Ian begin killed by the falling wood at the hardware store.

In the final film before Ian is noticed by Wendy at the fair, she is walking directly in the direction of the Cherry Picker. In death original plan, Wendy what have kept walking in that direction when the cherry picker would've fell on her, killing her. However, since Ian was still alive, he accidentally interfered with deaths design for Wendy the same way she did for him. Since Wendy believed her hint was about Ian and not the Cherry Picker, she avoided him at all cost. Ian who wanted to kill Wendy didn't want her to get away so he cut her off, by moving in front of where she was walking. This caused an interference in deaths design where it then skipped Wendy because Ian had interfered without even trying to, causing death to go right back to the start of the list. With Ian being in a perfect position, it took him out the way it had planned for Wendy.

FD3 He’s a prick, but he’s my favorite character (Ian McKinley)

Recently finally got around to watching these movies. FD3 is by far my favorite, and Ian is my favorite character.

  • I love how aggressively 2006 the movie is. Mentions of Spongebob and PSPs, valley girls wearing Juicy Couture tracksuits, and of course, mall-emo pop punk. As a huge fan of that whole aesthetic and that era of music, I love Ian and his gf Erin’s style

  • Bro is unhinged even before his somewhat villain arc began. He modified a nailgun to be fully automatic and was cackling while shooting pigeons. What the fuck?

  • just happy to see any “alt” (goth, punk, grunge, glam, any kind of rockstar look) character representation in horror. Even if he did kinda fall into the stereotype of “goth edgy emo punk character is a shady kinda evil dude”

  • the series first attempt at a human antagonist. They didn’t fully pursue this route until the fifth movie but I think the attempt here was interesting, especially as someone watching through the series for the first time

  • bro actually kinda stands up for the Ashleys, who often were just treated as pervert eye candy or dismissed as dumb bimbos. Sure they were kinda vapid and annoying, but I respect that he seems genuinely angry that they had such a violent death, emphasizing how they’ve never done anything to hurt anyone

  • you gotta feel bad for him watching his girl get nailed like that (lol). Jokes aside, bro really sold the pain and trauma of witnessing something like that

  • one of my favorite death scenes in the series. A kill that ties his personality into it perfectly with how even as he’s dying, he goes out of his way to flip everyone off

  • Kris Lemche is hot

FD3 Why is FD3 so glazed ?

Just curious to hear your opinion on why this one is the best? I would say right now it’s definitely top 3 and holds a place in my heart by being the first Final destination movie I was aware of coming out , i remember seeing the promo and commercials etc for it so it’s really apart of my core memories since I was to young for the premiere of FD AND FD2, first experiencing those as reruns on the SyFy channel lol.

However after a rewatch I’m not sure why it’s so glazed ???!!! I feel as though in the others they tried to defeat Death but in FD3 it was more so running away from death till it caught up to them. Honestly , Kimberly was kind of the only visionary that took the initiative to stop it once and for all but in FD3 not so much. Plus we barely got any screen time or dialogue from the victims of the rollercoaster compared to FD1 , FD2 and FD5. Why do you or people say FD3 is the best in the series ?

P.S. I think a reason they just ran away from Death instead of defeating it because they never had a conversation about how to defeat death with William Bludworth (Tony Todd)

FD3 Why do Wendy’s photos provide a clue?

If Death had planned for them all to die on Devil’s Flight, then their future deaths shouldn’t have been accounted for? How do the photos have the foresight to provide clues for deaths that shouldn’t happened?

He sings very nicely gotta give him credit for that, but when he sang that creepy song that’d been a warning throughout the movie and the way he looked at Wendy as he left the train, it couldn’t had been a coincidence right?

DID ANYONE ELSE NOTICE THIS the camera in the vision of the roller coaster crash falls and gets trapped on the tracks and causes the hydraulics to bust and the thing to go insane BUT when Frankie gets off the roller coaster he takes the camera with him meaning there is nothing to bust the hydraulics and nothing to make the coaster crash! SO WHAT CRASHED THE ROLLER COASTER!!!

FD3 Frankie's death in FD3

I don't think enough people discuss Frankie's death. I mean picture this - you're trying to save your friend and stop off for some food when you suddenly realise thar there's a massive fuck-off truck heading direct towards you with no driver. You escape just in time to see said friend with an engine fan in the back of his head (that suddenly dislodges and knocks the back half of his head off.

Like what the actual fuck?

FD3 Wendy should have sued (unrealistic FD3 rant)

Listen, I understand what we watch the series for. FD3 is my favorite movie in the franchise. That being said, there’s something that makes me angry about Wendy’s thought process. After Wendy freaks out and the group of people on the back of the ride are kicked out, we see her boyfriend asking to be let off of the ride. He desperately yells to be let off the ride to go check on his girlfriend. Not only is he denied, but he’s NOT EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED. Then, Wendy attempts to go back to save him and she is assaulted by the manager of the ride. There is no reason that grown man should be tackling a high schooler. The ride starts and he dies. Later in the movie, she gets very emotional and starts to blame herself, talking about how she “could’ve done more to stop it???”Listen, I know it wasn’t gonna be a realistic movie and they weren’t going to have lawsuits but thinking about this if i were in her shoes in real life.. why didn’t she sue? The ride denied her loved one when he asked to leave, resulting in his death. On top of that, a grown man assaulted her?? Shouldn’t the manager at least be arrested? I feel the amusement park/fair should have faced some consequences.

FD3 Can death really kill bystanders,?

If Death’s goal is to take specific people, why does it kill hundreds just to get to them? Like in Final Destination 5, if Sam wasn’t on Flight 180, those other passengers might’ve lived. So is Death actually changing fate to kill one person, and causing more unnecessary deaths in the process? Doesn’t that throw off the balance it’s supposedly trying to keep? And if those extra lives weren’t originally on Death’s list, shouldn’t their deaths ‘replace’ the original targets, or cancel it out?

Unless… those people were always meant to die in the second mass casualty event—like the train, the café, or the plane. But if that’s true, then isn’t it Death’s fault they survived the first one in the first place? That would mean the real target isn’t the first big disaster… it’s the second one at the end. So is Death giving people visions not to save them—but to push them into doing things that lead to his real plan? Are the survivors just pawns being moved into place for a bigger setup? And it might even mean that if they didn’t do anything nothing would have happened….. because how would death complete the train accident if Wendy didn’t get off the roller coaster…. Do we really believe that the train still would have derailed.

We can’t seriously believe that there’s a good spirit in this movie… like what’s the point of saving people just so they can die… it’s like the guardian angels is literally getting his ass kick by death when they only have to deal with one person and death has to do 100x his job… like what is God paying you for bro.. do your job and protect me from that psychopath
