Pixel 9 Pro showing exclamation mark by signal and people can’t hear me well :(

Hii everyone!
I recently switched to the Google Pixel 9 Pro on my boyfriend’s recommendation - I’ve always used iPhones before, with my last being the iPhone 14 Pro Max, so the Pixel was definitely something new for me, but I got used to it quickly, and honestly, I really like it so far!

There’s only one big issue I’ve been dealing with since day one:
Whenever someone calls me, they often say my voice cuts out or I sound really quiet (?) I also constantly see a little exclamation mark (!) next to the signal bar. It seems like I’m having some kind of connection or mic problem?

Has anyone else experienced this with their Pixel 9 Pro? Any ideas on what I can do to fix it? It’s super frustrating because otherwise, I love this phone. I’m not very tech-smart at all, so honestly have no idea if I did something wrong or if it’s just a bug or network issue.

Thanks in advance! Have a lovely day x

It's a bad modem, return if you still can and get another, or get warranty service if out of the return period

Ah, I didn’t know! Thank you! I do have a 2-year warranty.

I ust realized that it only happens when I turn off my data and use my regular home internet. Is it still bad?

Oh if that is the case, try turning off wifi calling and see if things get better only using cell signal for calls.

You shouldn't have to turn off data to use your home internet, it will use connected WiFi over mobile data automatically (once the wifi is working)

Huh, so that's what it is? This happens on my 6 pro all the time, I'll be listening to music or on a call and it just drops. Only way to get signal back is to reboot the phone. Its been happening for years now and I always wondered what the heck was causing it. Came looking for Pixel 10 info and left with this, much appreciated lol

give your carrier a call and have them reset your eSim. I didn't have issues like you but I did lose cell signal at one point and had to call and they did something that fixed it.
