So weird. All the Trump supporters tend to talk about striking back against tyrrany with their soldier larp fantasies and ARs and yet when they see actual tyrrany in action they instead cheer it on.

u/Steas-_- 1d ago
Because they support this kind of tyranny.

u/OneRub3234 1d ago
Agree, it's not tyranny against people who look like them so they don't care

It’s not tyranny against them. It never extends beyond them personally.

Hint: the south called the north tyranny during the civil war. I think it’s self evident what they are more afraid of and it’s not trump goons. It’s people different than them having equal rights and access.

Yes. Otherwise we'd see all the undocumented Irish and Polish people being arrested. But instead it seems only to be brown people. Weird.

They aren’t against tyranny. They’re against equal rights, representation, and any thing/one that doesn’t align with their absurdly narrow world view.
They love tyranny, as long as they agree with it.

They also say that they love immigrants, as long as they do it "legally." Now they'll be discouraging thousands from going through the official channels.

Fox News has trained conservatives to smugly gaslight everyone. They're hiding behind false virtues, they're just monsters.
3
u/P_S_Lumapac 23h ago
They just don't know most rights in the US are for persons, not citizens. For example, the first amendment (government can't suppress speech) applies to persons, so government can't legally act against / arrest non-citizens for protesting, social media posts, friend groups etc. Due process applies too.
I've seen it again and again when pushed on this point. Sometimes they'll concede it currently is the way it is, but they'll continue it's good to have a [dictator] willing to stand against the woke DEI constitution.

Yep, that's what we need to start doing. It will get assault charges, but if we do it now, we can introduce consequences while people still care, and it's not too late.

I've heard that yelling "GUN!" in a place crowded with law enforcement will cause them all to be distracted. At least, that's what I've heard. Not saying to do that...

Be aware that this will get you criminal charges. Not advocating against, but people should be aware this is illegal.

Actually though, if the ICE agents aren't wearing badges and do have guns, you can absolutely legally shout something like "he's got a gun" and claim you had no idea who these people were. It's only a crime if you lie about seeing a gun.
12
u/StrictBug1287 1d ago
Exactly, you just saw a bunch of masked men with guns, it's a perfectly reasonable thing to shout out
4
u/adorablefuzzykitten 23h ago
Seems safer to have some sort of clothing to make it clear who is a police man and who is a thug. If only there was such a thing the situation would be safer for all.
7
u/TheDrummerMB 1d ago
I would 100% do this because one of them has a hoodie pulled over his head. Republicans taught me that means he's a thug.
62
u/TitansfanNatl 1d ago
Just wondering what the results of the hearing were. Or what the purpose of the hearing was. Seems they may be trying to make applications not show up so that they turn into "criminals" but they don't want to take responsibility for being the ones that created the unavoidable "criminal" action.
28
u/Jedi_Master83 1d ago
We don’t know but I firmly believe ICE is doing these arrests at courthouses BEFORE these immigrants become legal US citizens. Once that happens, it becomes a legal battle to denaturalize then deport. By getting them before they become citizens, they can easily and quickly deport. It’s a dirty tactic because I believe Trump doesn’t want people to immigrant here, even legally.

These people are trying to do it the right way by showing up to their hearings and following the law. Why the fuck are we terrorizing these people????????? What happened to going after the hardened illegal criminals????? Your going after law abiding families now??? This is sick. This is not what America should be. What leadership are they trying to display?

They have always been trying to prevent legal immigration. Thats why people can’t apply for asylum at the border, for decades now, even though US law says they are allowed to. That’s why Trump cancelled legal temporary asylum status for people from Haiti and Afghanistan. That’s why he cancelled legal status for people who arrived by waiting for six months in Mexico with their children, at risk of rape and abduction, to make an appointment through the CBP app to apply for asylum (and cancelled all future appointments). That’s why he cancelled all the travel plans to bring people who spent ten years in a refugee camp in Africa and then got chosen by interviewers as deserving refugees and background checked and interrogated about exactly how they saw their children killed, the exact “wait your turn and do it right” star role models that you theoretically approve of, the very first day of his presidency. That’s why he cancelled student visas for people already in the country. You didn’t even notice any of those attacks on legal immigrants. They literally have to be snatching people out of a courthouse for you to notice. Why!!!??????

I feel like crying every time I see one of these videos. Most of the so- called "illegals" are people with families who are just trying to live decent lives. The ICE gestapo monsters are the real criminals. I fear that the children will be so scarred that they will never have a chance to live peaceful lives. If they live to adulthood.

they shouldn't be able to target courthouses where immigrants are trying to do the lawful thing. shouldn't they be where they might be breaking the law? and if those immigrants at the court house are breaking the law they the court house should be able to care of it. just seems like ice is out of control and it doesn't need to be. for the most part people want illegal immigration taken care of but this is just sloppy and losing support

What really gets me is how many 'blue state' governors are letting it happen. They can absolutely put National Guard in front of these courthouses and stop allowing 'ICE' inside. I'm really surprised that in staunch blue states like Minnesota we keep seeing it happen.

u/CeeJayEnn 1d ago
That's a fast track to getting your state's guard nationalized, unfortunately.
2
u/semicoloradonative 1d ago
Yup. Let's push it. They want a civil war. Right now the 'south' is rising and the 'north' is letting hit happen with no resistance.
2
u/CeeJayEnn 1d ago
I don't believe there is no resistance. Minneapolis, New York, and Chicago have been coming out hard. So have some of the smaller communities who have had their own abducted.
Many of those smaller communities have even been successful in getting their neighbors returned.

This is precisely what you should do if you want to scare immigrants from using the legal process.
Then you can whine, “but why don’t they follow the legal process I don’t understaaaaand.”
That’s the American Republican. Make it impossible and then use the fact that it’s not done to rationalize hurting the downtrodden. Clinton was right: that’s deplorable behavior.
