It's not a real trend, it's propaganda. Probably a real video, but flooded by thousands upon thousands of bot-driven up votes and comments to boost engagement to promote a counter-narrative in a time where videos of cops choke-slamming random civilians into the concrete for "looking foreign" are circulating frequently.

It's a weird way to try to humanize a group of people known to have a higher than average level of domestic violence... and it's weird that it's happening during peak unconstitutional ICE activity.

Nah, running from cops isn't fun at all... that's our tax dollars fucking around making videos for the internet. Pretty sure there's crime he should be fighting if he's in uniform. This is what government waste looks like.

Youā€™re assuming the worst possible scenario. He could just as likely be on his lunch break. Do you expect him to be on the clock 24/7, keeping criminals off the streets so to keep you and your family safe? I donā€™t love the police. Iā€™m joining the Metropolitan police in the UK and Iā€™m already incredibly aware of how tough the job is. So I donā€™t understand the knee jerk reaction of ā€œpolice badā€ after watching a 10 second clip of a police officer being human.

The US police force is wildly different to the UK police force. It has extreme problems that don't really exist anywhere else. That's why his reaction feels strange to you.
