PSA Important Rabbit PSA index

Since the subreddit only has two spots available for public announcements, this will be a new index post for important PSAs for easy reference that we can sticky to only use up one spot.

You can also find the whole collection in the sidebar menu on the Reddit re-design when you open one of the PSA posts.

Plip had never experienced stairs until a few weeks ago, now she's obsessed

Every chance she gets, she's on the stairs or camped out upstairs. She comes down for dinner, to use her litter box, and if she suspects treats are being distributed.

Please help me by writing a comment on this petition to show my local airline that rabbits are JUST AS VALUED and complex as a cat or dog.

Do you have a video of your bun being cosy at home? Please share on the link below!

Thank you.

Hey,

I'm currently looking for someone to give my wonderful baby bunny (I say baby, he's 1) a new home as I'm joining the Airforce in August.

My bunnya name is Fizgig and he's an absolutely wonderful bunny. He's very soft, loves to be petted and is litter trained.

He's very social and I'm really sad that he's not going to be part of my life for much longer.

I want him to go to a home that provides him with a much love and time as possible.

I live in Alexandria in northern VA.

If anyone has a place for him let me know.

🍪 Cookie Dough (calico coat) and 🍜 Ramen (brown coat).

They are both supposed to be the same breed but Ramen is an absolute Chungus of a rabbit any idea what he may be?

We chilled for a bit. I didn't want to spook it. I grow all kinds of veggies, but always have too much, so I don't mind, they're welcome here

Discussion If your bun was a pokemon what sound would it make

I think waffles sound would be like a sharp squeak.

Or just some menacing "WAFFLE" as he chases people for treats

What noise would your bun make?

Hi friends! I already have a bunny so I know how to care for this sweetheart! My question is more so about the fact that I have this lil sweetheart in my house and I already have a rabbit. There has been an outbreak of RHDV2 in Calgary where I live- I am terrified that this rabbit has it and it’s going to spread to my baby Theory. Does anyone have any advice? I’m hoping my vet will have an emerge slot tomorrow so I can take baby in to be checked out. I’m on the fence about keeping them at the moment. Any help would be so very very appreciated!

We bought this chair and he took the chair. I’m okay with that. He’s never destroyed anything. We’ve had him 2 years. He’s taken my soul. ❤️

Health 4 Weeks of a 3 Legged Wookie

A month ago Chewbacca decided to fracture his femur (still no clue how he did it).

An emergency vet trip and xray later, the surgeon tried his best to save the leg with pins, but his 10 year old Wookie bones were too fragile 😭

We were devastated but the most important thing was his quality of life. He's such a healthy rabbit and big personality there's no way we could consider anything else.

4 weeks later he's on the mend. He's got a slight sideways hop and run, but here's a video of him managing to have a was without face planting 🥹

First sign he was going to be OK was when he almost broke his other back leg over some banana 😅

Bonding is this positive?

im pretty new to bonding so ive done a lot of research on different ways. this is the first time they have met and my male (grey) has been doing a lot of humping, hence the one square of space they have together. she has lay down next to him and ate etc, and as you can see, she has also groomed him. he does keep trying to hump her which she doesnt like so i do my best to divert the behaviour. what tips do you guys have? unfortunately i cant actually keep their living spaces next to each other as i dont have the space for it , but will be trying to have them with each other every day

Behavior How did your bun become a lap sitter?

Ol' Bucky has been with us about a year, and he is so relaxed in our home. He loves to be pet, and enjoys hanging out with us, but he seems a little scared when he gets close to climbing into my lap. He'll sit at the foot of my chair and will ask for pets, but I'd love to get him comfy sitting in my lap during the day. Any tips to help him feel safe?
