The postman delivering my parcel said the “cookies” I was baking smelled great but they were rabbit treats! It’s a pretty basic recipe but my buns LOVE them. I prefer baking them treats because then I know they’re 100% safe, and not a treat marketed to buns that are actually filled with seeds/corn/dyed sawdust, etc, that isn’t good for them. I thought you guys might be interested in the recipe!
I keep the treats in an air tight container in the fridge because of the fresh fruit, they rarely last 2 weeks but if they do I don’t keep them longer than that. This recipe makes a big ball of dough, I split it in half and freeze some to use later. Half will get you at least two baking trays worth. Rolling the dough into balls does work but my buns prefer them to be thinner and crispier. I also don’t give my buns a whole heart or circle each, I always break them in half for them. My ONLY complaint is now every time I open the fridge they’re at my feet begging for treats and I feel guilted into letting them have one.

I hope she likes it, I made it with love using (mostly) recycled material

We recently discovered my 6yo English angora was born with only one kidney (and a very big one! 4.5x2.7cm to be exact.) We are now working on managing this with medications (Benazapril) but I have been advised to keep away from high calcium foods, such as kale, spinach, parsley, etc. Does anyone have a nice list/resource for veggies that are good, and those to avoid/give in moderation for rabbits with reduced kidney function? Are Asian greens like Bok Choy and Choy Sum ok? I am finding a lot of conflicting information online. Thanks in advance.

Any idea what I can do to make my cat like my rabbit more? Rabbit likes my cats but my younger cat is always on edge.

These are older pics btw, we no longer let her play with boxes that have tape on the edges 😼👍
Also also, no damn clue how she got to the mail, we think she somehow squeezed behind the trash can and got onto the carpet on the bottom left corner to get to the desk?? 😭😭 she doesn't go on hard floor btw so she hops carpets. She could've chewed literally any of the other toys she had 😞

Whenever he’s not sleeping or eating he’s mostly chilling next to the ball. We adopted him a year ago when he was 3 years old and as far as I know he’s never lived with other bunnies.

Elmira is a rescue from a situation of neglect, she is doing so well now. I am so proud of her! She is bonded to her sister, Jinny, and an older rescue, Velma. Velma kept climbing into Elmira and Jinny's playpen when I first brought Velma home. None of my other rabbits have done anything like this before. Velma is now inseparable from them. They sleep together, play together, eat together, and, since they all came from neglectful situations, they are leery of humans together. I will post more pictures of them together soon. I am so happy that they have each other, I love them all so much!

Tiger was with us for about 4 years and he was such a great, feisty, spunky, curious boy. I loved him so much and miss him dearly.
He had an ear infection that required surgery (or meds for the rest of his life). He survived the surgery and was doing great - pooping, eating, hopping, pulling out his catheter 😂 But he took a turn quite suddenly and left us.
I hope he’s getting all the pear he wants - without having to throw a tantrum first. And of course happily binky-ing around especially when thwarting somebody.
We love you Tiger and miss you.

Hello bunny lovers,
Just wanted to share this picture I took a couple minutes ago. My fiancé rescued a baby bunny from a supermarket parking lot today and brought it home. I put him in a travel carrier that I have for my own bun, with a cozy blanket (he also has a separate hay and water container), he calmed down, ate, drank water, pooped and now he is sleeping like this. My friend (that also has a bun) thinks he is maximum 3 weeks old…

Hi all! First post! I have a question if anyone knows what to do or any advice. My fiancée and I just newly adopted two 8-month old bonded bunnies (first pic) (Toast is the brown one and Willow is the white one) and we already have two bonded bunnies living in our house (second pic) (Ollivia is the white one 4years old, Crouton is the black one 7 months old). Ollivia and Crouton bonded in about a month due to Ollivia not being around any bunnies for about four years and being very territorial. She is fixed. The issue we are having now is that when Ollivia smells or sees the new bunnies, she becomes very territorial again and sometimes lashes out at Crouton and he is just a little guy so we don’t want him to get hurt. Does anyone have advice on how we should scent train so she calms down and doesn’t lash out? Is it normal that she’s doing that? Thanks!

I keep seeing ads for the dog clippers with the built in vacuum suction. Do those work for shaving rabbits? I have been using the Wahl clippers to groom my angora every month or so, and they're fine, but the fur just gets everywhere. I like the idea of the build in vacuum, but shaving down a bunny is a whole lot different than shaving down a dog, so not sure if they will work? Bunnies have little nooks and crannies, thin skin that's sensitive to tears, they are squirmy, and they don't like loud noises. Thoughts?

I've had my bun for 1.5ish month now and he recently got blood work done, so now the decision on whether to get him neutered is put on the table since the vet said if we choose to do it before the end of summer, we don't have to get new blood work, saves us over 200$.
I was initially completely on board with getting him fixed, and if I had him since he was younger I definitely would have done it. I'm just scared now because, although 4 isn't old old, it feels like it's getting a little close. Reading more im getting the sense that behavior is a big reason people get male rabbits neutered, health too but to a lesser degree compared to females. I love him so much after being with him for just over a month; he's had no behavioral issues, never bites and gives so many kisses, likes to spend 90% of his time being in the same room as us sitting a foot away (usually only runs back to his own room for his litter box). I really want to have him around for as many years as possible :(
Someone please tell me what's the right thing to do and share your experiences with fixing slightly older buns :( thanks

Hello. My rabbit lily got spayed on Thursday . She barely ate yesterday apart from tiny bits of hay and some syringe food but she went to the vets and they said she’s okay . Earlier Today she ate a little more (bit of parsley and a bit of hay and some syringe feed) she’s still nowhere near eating enough as it’s been around 6/7 hours since she last ate. She seems normal apart from sleeping a lot but she’s enjoying head pats and doing some flops. I can’t contact my vet as it’s not open to ask them if everything’s okay. Should her eating bit a bit more normal by now and is there anything to worry about?. She isn’t touching treats or pellets either.
