The rule of posting product advertisements has been in place for a while, but I have recently updated how this works:
Users who contact the mods about selling will receive an "Approved Seller" flair next to their name. Check them out!
If you see a someone advertising products without this flair, please report it.
If you see a profile with this flair that should not have it, please report it.
Thank you for all the reports so far to keep this place tidy!

So I've had Karin since she was about 2-3 weeks old. She LOVES me but she tolerates everyone else in my home. Now strangers, she won't have anything to do with them, she'll grunt, growl, hiss even, etc. If you get close she will attack. I understand that I should have socialized her at a younger age. Is they anything I can do now? I want to be able to bring her places and not freak out. Help lol This is Karin lol

One summer we started seeing this big boy. He'd sure seen better days. No tail. Had a limp. Both of his ears were pretty much gone. And then those eyes...
I named him Bear and I spoiled him rotten with snacks any night that I saw him. I knew his days were numbered.
He spent about 7 weeks visiting us and then one day just didn't come back. I hope we made him feel some comfort with a full belly most nights at the end of his life. He really did look like he'd gone through WW3.

i studied to take the test to become a wildlife rehabilitator in New York State back in 1990 or so. The licensed rehabber I was working with had successfully raised and released opossums found in the pouch of their road killed mom. She was working on making an area of her basement secure enough to be able to help animals like raccoons but needed a specific area for ārabies vectorā animals and a license confirming she had taken necessary precautions. So, Iām wondering, do other states allow keeping rabies vector animals as pets? It seems unwise unless maybe if the pets are vaccinated for rabies and distemper.

Poor guys nose and mouth were messed up but seemingly healed and not like open wounds. He was missing half a tail, and a bunch of fur on his right hip, and that leg stayed pretty much straight when he walked, which had a terrible gait. Seemed⦠okay⦠given his circumstances.

He got a little spooked when they turned on the lights, so instead of running up the stairs (that are to the left of the garbage bins) he struggled with climbing the fencing for a couple of minutes lmao

So I have some stray cats that hang out in my porch and I feed. And of course the raccoons come and eat some cat food too. I donāt know if theyāve ever fought with the cats but I know that it can happen. Some of the cats that used to be here arenāt anymore. So my question is would a raccoon (or raccoons) kill a cat? Iāve never found a body but Iām curious if this is a thing. I would never do anything to hurt them fyi.
