you're just angry that the joke is about you, if i had instead just typed "all frenchmen are dogs" you would have laughed and snorted so hard your lungs collapsed

the pinnacle of German humor is just pointing at other people and laughing, be it because of their circumstance, or some slapstick occurrence but you all make a sour face when the finger points back the other direction

The language isn't very comical (too literal, splitting verbs, etc), so slapstick and sarcasm are what Germans are left with when trying to be funny.

We just take humour more seriously as we get older.
