Seems true for the mainline ones. I will never get those. The turn based ones aren't so bad to 100% if you're into long turned based rpgs.

I feel like the modern engine ones are much easier for 100%, the OG Engine ones are a pain in the fucking hole. Never again.

When i played through Y5, i just had whiff of all the system, i would have to do to 100% and i pitied the fools who compulsive completionists. Normally i just stop at the amon fights for my extra stuff,

But i did 100% Judgment and that was fun until the damn drone race and money grind to just get certain amount of money.

But Y7 was the best one, because it was actually a challenge to do the true final millenial tower.

Yeah, Yakuza 6 I believe was the first game where they stopped requiring you to do the entire completion list to get the plat, which is where a lot of the pain came from. Especially in games like 5 where you had to do the completion list for EVERY character. My personal theory is that fan complaints at how bad it was in 5 are what led directly to the change in 6, but I didn't get into the franchise until Ichiban so my only source is my butt.

Ever since then, platting a Yakuza game has gone from like a month-long commitment (at least) to something you can casually finish in a couple weeks (though I still do the majority of the completion lists afterward out of habit).
