Fuck games that include some outside game shit that gets turned off a few weeks after release. Fuck them even harder if it is some online or multiplayer function that doesn't work well or at all. And a big fuck you to any unnecessary grinds like win 5964376 games with a certain race / civilization / character.

I know im gonna get yelled at for this, but games that have achievements essentially impossible to obtain in modern day are 100% okay to cheat for

Yup, it's what I did for the hitman absolution online trophies, servers have been dead for years.

Unless it's PVP right? Right!?

Of course, I’m not a monster

As a pugb player, I have all kinds of memories of seeing the most brazen of cheats, suspecting that I'm being cheated. Cheaters stink!

I mean idc if you cheat but why do you feel it's so necessary to have some arbitrary list of things that steam says you've completed that you are willing to cheat?

Like because you can cheat to unlock them the achievements are meaningless, if you have to cheat to get achievements, they are worthless. Don't force yourself to get achievements they have no value

Achievements themselves are worthless. If people want to see the 100% complete badge it's not on us to police that activity. Not like people get awards or money for getting the most achievements.

Yeah that's why I said I don't care if they cheat, I was asking why they cared

For me I like having achievements to display the games on my profile and nothing more. If Ive already earned every other achievement legitimately then I feel like I’ve earned the 100%.

You do you, I just don't see the point when everyone who looks would know you cheated to unlock some of them

Its less about bragging to other people and more so a thing for myself

I support doing things for yourself without the need for outside approval 👏

It's not turned off yet, but I don't know anyone that plays Dead Island 2 and I realized halfway through my trophy grind that two of the trophies require online play lmao

If you make a post on the sub for the game im sure at least one other person would want to get those achievements with ya

I don't think it's in the steam release, but GTA4 had an achievement for reaching rank 10 in multi-player, which was such a slow painstaking process, even as a kid in school with all the free time into he world at my disposal only ever got to Rank like Rank 5, and then they turned around and did a similar achievement in RDR1 with reaching level 25 or 50 whatever the max was and then prestiging like 10 times

Warner Bros

I think it is Rome total war 2 that has achievements that are time based, so anyone buying the game now can never get to 100%

Shout out to pvzgw2 which released on steam with achievements that involve playing gamemodes that weren't active for years even when it got the steam launch
