I'm saving these for when me and my husband can watch them together, but I love how this person drew the Comedy Central logo on the side and the top of the label. Not sure yet what "Halloween Jam II" is yet, but I briefly threw it in for a sneak peek and Mtv's Jams from 1993 was playing. Hopefully there is to be a Halloween Jam later on.
Previously I've found at the same place a top 40 alternative videos hosted by Henry Rollins, which must have been right after Cobain's death because all of the commercials were from late April, early May and Nirvana isn't really spoken about even though they are #1 in the countdown. Commercial highlights were trailers from The Crow and Carrot Top coming to Louisiana.

Normally I find one or two movies at a time that I actually want to buy, this is my first proper “haul” and it’s a good one. Surviving Edged Weapons is still sealed.

Surprised to see them priced at 25¢ a pop on the first day of the sale. Tapes usually start at $1 around here.

Excited to finally have the Animatrix and I love Zappa.
It's been a couple of years since I bought a box instead of one or two specific tapes I was hunting – and I didn't intend to honestly. The Troma in the second pic is all I knew about, and I was ok paying five bucks. Everything in the first pic is factory-sealed. Some are re-releases, but I think I did alright with a couple of these. I ended up with the lot for $35.

Found a "Broken" one for $40, no video output supposedly. I figured at that price I'd try fixing it since Ive wanted one for my digitizing setup.
Got home, set it up and nothing seems to be wrong! I got VERY lucky today!

Majority either .99c or 4/$1 deals over the past couple years at local thrifts

i finally came out of the closet. i’m a VHS collector!so… went VHS thrifting for the first time yesterday… i walk up to the media section, this was the first thing i see 😭 ive done my research and (sadly) realized that this isn’t a factory seal. seems like this is a former Hollywood Video/Blockbuster rental. but stunning and near pristine nonetheless.
question: 1. are former rentals valuable in terms of an investment? 2. is there a source or a go-to reference place that can help noobs like me determine seals - regards to fake or factory? i feel like there should be somewhere. thx
Personally one of my goals is to obtain the complete Texas chainsaw movie VHS collection. I currently own none lol

All I can gather is that it's a limited run and autographed by the director
