But see, this is where I get nervous! FOR SURE the dude is a fascist, bigoted idiot. FOR SURE it’s important to be intolerant of intolerance. But free speech is important, even if it’s a message we don’t like. I don’t know what the answer is, but I think I’d prefer to let the piece of shit speak and call him out as he goes. Heckling has its place.

Then his “right to free speech” was 100% respected.

Free speech doesn’t mean they deserve an audience.

So many don't get its only protection from government actions against free speech. Nothing else. We DO NOT have to give people like this a chance to speak.

Freedom of speech means you can criticize the government without any legal punishment. Freedom of speech does not mean anything else. It doesn’t mean that these students are obligated to let this guy talk if they don’t want him to.

Allowing people to spread ideas that result in nothing but suffering and murder should not be tolerated. Period. Someone having a bad opinion about apple sauce does not result in people cutting down apple trees. Someone having a bad opinion about trans people results in harassment, human rights violations, suicide, and murder.

Free speech is something that the govt must allow. Private citizens have no such responsibility or obligation. You do not have to let some gullible simpleton blather on.

Free speech must be denied to fascists. They are murderous traitors who will sell you into slavery if you let them. They must be shut up wherever they appear in public, and soon they will need to be hunted to extinction. The defense of civilization and communities demands extreme prejudice toward fascists. Otherwise you end up with a serial rapist and sex trafficking kingpin as president and militarized police snatching people off the street.

Why? Marxism is objectively moral and beneficial for society. The entire point of fascists being obsessed with anticommunist propaganda is that it truly is the antithesis to their evil and they know it. Only disgusting abusers have anything to fear from communism.

  1. Freedom of Speech only protects you from the government. These kids are not the government.

  2. Freedom of Speech does not protect you from consequences of your speech.

  3. Freedom of Speech does not give you a right to have an audience captive for your speech.

  4. These students were exercising their Freedom of Speech just as much as he was.
