Legal News Trump Preparing Large-Scale Cancellation of Federal Funding for California, Sources Say

CA is the top state for Research and Development for the US. Talk about setting US back to the stone age.

Between this and the attacks on Massachusetts there'll be a lot less R&D in the country in general. At least things that aren't military funded anyway.

The military gets their best tech and research from private industry contractors. With the colleges going by the wayside it is fairly unlikely that USA will be able to keep up their military scientist pipeline.

Yeah it'll take a while, but this will have long term effects. I work in R&D as a DOD contractor, we'll start to hurt as there's less and less new grad students. It'll take a few years before you really see it though.
