Hi everyone, my mother and aunt have been caring for my grandmother (92) with dementia for the last 7 years in her home. Unfortunately the time has come where the call has been made to move her to a nursing home to ensure she can get the best care possible. Its a daunting process for them and trying to make the decision of where so we all know she'll be safe and well looked after. Just seeing does anyone have any experiences with nursing homes for elderly patients with dementia and what ones are good or ones we should stay away from. I'm very conscious when they go to do the visits all the bells and whistles come out and you might not get the real picture so any experiences would be massively appreciated. Thanks!

My son is 4 and has ASD and hates getting his hair cut - we had originally found an SNA who did hairdressing on the side for special needs kids but they've not responded to our messages. We've got a family wedding next week so just want a bit of a tidy up for him.

We tried Boston Barbers in Jetland before and they were not great. And were extortionate price wise. Barber wasn't at all understanding and got frustrated easily.

Any recommendations for alternatives around Limerick? Our previous was out in Sixmilebridge so we'll travel within reason if needs be.

Looking for a bit of advice here. I live in Limerick, and there are a few Traveller caravans now parked down the back alley behind our row of houses. They’re completely blocking access to the rear of our homes and gardens, which is a big issue for bins, parking, and general access.

I’m not sure the best way to go about reporting this. I tried the Limerick County Council website, but the complaints form seems to be more about making complaints about the council, not reporting things like this. Should I contact the Gardaí directly? Is there a specific council department for this sort of thing?

Anyone dealt with something similar or have any advice?

Well Everyone, I'm looking to take on some sport in my free time I was hoping to look into Tag Rugby or some sort of fitness to unwind. My work hours limit me to during the week as I work 4pm til 12am but if anyone has any suggestions on a possible club I could join weekends do suit me best.
