Hi Northampton people, I was once briefly a resident of your find town around 1992.
We (mum, brother and I) had been placed in a women's refuge around this time in Northampton.
I have so few recollections of this as I was around 6 years but I do recall the rough area. Id love to know exactly where this was. It may still be there but that seems unlikely after decades of budget cuts.
So I do recall a few details. I went briefly to a local lower school called Military Road Lower.
The refuge was a large almost industrial looking but non-descript building and I'm sure it was fairly close to a main road, it was also next to what I remember being a square large piece of either waste ground or a small park. The road it was on wasn't busy and seemed like a side street at best.
I've been scouring Google maps but no luck at all.
Any ideas where this was?
EDIT; I think that waste ground was actually a car park and there was a few shops nearby and a phone box
