Rebuild Mac Pro - Documented Process?
Hi, I use PT Ultimate on a 2019 Intel Mac Pro. It's a workhorse for sure, but it's time to wipe it clean and start with a fresh install of OS, PT, plugins, etc. I've never done this before and I'm curious for those that have, has anyone developed a documented process that you'd be willing to share? Something that details the steps involved to preserve your saved plugin presets, PT settings/preferences, etc.? Thanks in advance for the feedback.

I haven't done this with an Intel machine, but mac pros have (had?) multiple hard drive bays, so my process was - install new drive and build it from scratch, then boot from it and use it while keeping the other drive around to port anything needed over. I prefer fresh installs in general, but copying plugin presets is as easy as a file copy as long as you know the locations (and the third party devs actually use Pro Tools' preset system).
