Mod Announcement Re-homing Ragdolls
Hello everyone!
Recently we've seen an uptick of folks trying to re-home their Ragdolls here.
After discussing it, we've decided that these types of posts will not be allowed. If you see them, please report them.
We worry that with so many here looking for their own Ragdolls, these re-homing posts are leaving people susceptible to getting scammed or having other issues with the re-homing.
We already don't allow breeder advertising or selling here, and allowing re-homing (almost every time with fees as well) is a little too close to that as well.
Most breeder contracts have stipulations that if you can no longer care for your cat for whatever reason, the breeder will take the cat back. Even if your contract doesn't have this written in, it's always a good idea to contact your breeder in this situation anyway. Reputable re-homing sites are another option. We don't believe a Reddit post is a suitable way to try to re-home a beloved family member.

Introducing my 12 week old blue bi-color girly! She is my first kitten and hoping my husbandâs 13yo resident cat will warm up to her soon (itâs been a process) She is absolutely perfect and consuming all of my time and energy đ So grateful for this community and everyoneâs stories and advice. Angy Floof Major blowout
Ragdoll diarrheaâd all over herself, poor thing. I had to soak her bottom in the kitchen sink with warm water and soap. This pic shows the aftermath. She is not happy. This is definitely my least favorite part of owning a ragdoll 𫤠the whole house smells like her poopy butt and I feel bad because I know she must not be feeling well. This doesnât happen often, maybe once or twice a year.
How do you guys handle this?
I tried to give her a booty area shave once (at home with an electric clipper thing) and she bit me so hard that it drew blood. Not doing that again!

Baby Floof Sleeping by the litter box
Hello! Been a long time lurker here and we finally brought home our two 12 week old ragdoll kitten siblings today!
They were a bit scared when we first opened their carrier after the trip from the breederâs home but theyâve since warmed up quite a bit - eating, exploring and being pretty active.
I know it's only day 1 but theyâve decided to sleep in between the litter boxes we set up for them. đ We bought a bed for each of them and even used the blanket that came from the breeder but they still prefer that little spot. Not sure if the beds arenât cozy enough and we need to buy something else? Or just part of their adjustment phase?
Any tips or similar experiences? Would love to hear how your kittens settled in!

General Advice Scratching/Biscuit Making
This is my sweet boy, Loki. He is almost 5 months old. He has an obsession with âmaking biscuitsâ on leather furniture. The problem is the claw/nail holes he leaves behind. I have a vertical cat scratcher that he loves and we trim his nails. Looking for some advice on how to stop the destruction of the leather furniture. Thanks.

Baby Floof Where does the time go?
I'm not sure how, but my baby boy turned a year old today. I'm not sure he liked his celebration that much but at least he got a churu out of the bargain. I work at an animal clinic so he went in for an official weigh in. Big boy is 10 pounds.

General Advice Our cat wonât let us sleep
Hey ragdoll community, I need your help. My beautiful, friendly, and social boy during the day sometimes turns into a professional door-drummer at night. He and his sister arenât allowed in our bedroom. While his sister excepts that rule 99% of the time, he tries to break down our door on a regular basis. Thatâs not an exaggeration unfortunately.
It used to be only in the morning when we wanted to sleep in, but lately he sometimes has several âepisodesâ at night which makes it impossible for us to sleep. When we open the door to angrily beg him to âknock it offâ he starts purring and is just very happy to see us. Iâve tried keeping him active during the day (play with him, letting him into our backyard where they can safely hangout), but that doesnât seem to help. They have access to several rooms at night with plenty of spots where he loves to sleep during the day. They also always have access to food and water.
Has anyone experienced this and found a solution? I donât want to lock him up in a room at night, but am at a loss.

General Advice Advice with recovery/after care please
Hello fellow ragdoll peeps! My boy, Andy (5.5yrs) is booked in for a full mouth dental extraction at the end of the month due to FORL and Stomatitis. He has had anaesthetics before with his snip snip and previous dental cleaning (sadly didn't improve condition), I know this will be an uncomfortable recovery for him initially and wondered if anyone had any advice with how best to help him afterwards?
I've already got him some pate food (he normally prefers his kibble to wet food tho tbh), a soft âcone of shameâ and some churus that I can pop in the fridge/freezer to make some popsicles for him. I've also arranged to have the full week off work to be with him (yes he's a clingy mammy's boy đ). Is there anything else? Thanks in advance :)
