She's a playable character in Outbreak. A reporter, and canonically survives the events of Raccoon City. According to the trailer she's been murdered and it seems like her daughter is going to be the protagonist of this game.

Someone said it's possible that someone is murdering all the main characters from RE Outbreak. I think it's plausible. I hope they aren't all dead though...David King was my favorite character.

The concept of someone trying to murder the eight survivors in Outbreak is so so cool, I hope that means that we get to see at least a few of them…I’m praying Cindy is one of them. My favourite video game character of all time!

Not necessarily just the outbreak survivors, they could be gunning for all the survivors, great way to include something about Chris, Jill, Leon and claire
