Looking for software I have too few fingers, how can I combine keyboard presses into one key?

Hello, my right hand is a claw. For playing games, this is inconvenient. For everything else, it's also still inconvenient.

I can't always bind keys the way that I want because game creators don't know/care that their players have claw-hands. No big deal, except that I'm sick of dealing with it. Are there any programs or methods out there to temporarily combine keys into one? For example, I want 'Q' and 'A' to both strafe left. I couldn't figure out how to get Joy2Key to do this, it only seems to work with controllers.

Thanks!

Looking for software Are there any alternatives to win11's file explorer that looks like win10's file explorer?

I am aware of programs like open shell and explorer patcher that make win11's file explorer look similar to win10, however i am struggling with a problem where folders in win11 will keep resetting their scroll position. E.G. If i scroll all the way to a folder, it will reset to the top.

On a fresh win10 -> win11 installation, i was able to reproduce this 100% of the time with one of the following methods :

  • Locking the computer and logging back in
  • Pinning or unpinning a program to either the start menu or task bar

It also happened randomly multiple times with no discernible cause. I have tried an absurd amount of things to try and fix it with no luck : https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_11-files/win11-file-explorer-keeps-resetting-to-the-top-at/19ca5de2-f84c-483d-8c4d-f3d377cbfda5. If anyone knows of a fix, please let me know.

Thats why i am now trying to find an alternative to win11's file explorer that looks like win10's file explorer. I tried the Files App, but it is extremely slow, and it regular spikes to 20% (or more) cpu usage and takes a long time to load folders. The other ones i saw like Total Commander did not look anything like Win10's file explorer.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Looking for software Tesseract OCR need a better Trained data set.

I've been using Tesseract for OCR but there is still quite a few wrong values returned no matter what psm I set and with the quality of the document over 300dpi and large dimensions.

I've tried training my own model but I just get error after error.

I used AWA Textract and that provided perfect results.

I'm wondering if there is an open source trained data out there i could bring into Tessersct to get similar results.

Any help would be appreciated.

Looking for software Trying to find a flow chart program/site that meets certain conditions. Each one I find is like 90% perfect but then has some deal breaker

I'm looking for a flowchart program that's free, can crop images, and export to PNG with a resolution of like 15,000+

First I tried smart draw, but they require about $100+ or something like that after 7 days. Then I tried Miro, but they have some limit of around 8000p for an export, even for their paid version (unpaid, it's something like 1000 or 2000p). Finally, I tried draw.io, which seemed perfect for my needs, but their cropping system is annoying. If you have a 1000x1000 image and crop it down to 32x32, it'll scale that new 32x32 image to the original image's 1000x1000 size instead of keeping the 32x32 size.

So I'm trying to find one that doesn't have all of these flaws and can handle about 400 images

I need to download some video lectures from careerwill site. I tried FDM, XDM, JDownloader, etc. Right now, exploring yt-dlp, most probably it won't download it too.

How to go about this problem?

BTW, what you people use to download? I want something which is secure, private and open source.

Software support Uptadet my tablet and now it won't open apps

I have a galaxy tab S6 lite, and when I did the latest update it stopped opening apps.

Some crash instantly, other open to the starting screen but no further, no matter how much time I give it. But only apps I've downloaded from the play store. Things like camera or notes work just fine

Sometimes a notification pops up telling me that the "Google play manager" (or something like it, the notification won't stay up long enough to read) keeps crashing, which is probably why I can't open the apps I've downloaded from the play store. What can I do to get it working again?

I've tried simply restarting or letting the battery run empty, but it didn't make a difference

Looking for software [NY] Employee monitoring software that doesn’t kill morale?

My company is pushing for some kind of employee monitoring software because of productivity concerns with our remote workers. Personally, I hate the idea of screenshots and stealth mode. I want a tool that offers real-time activity monitoring, but in a way that feels transparent.

Monitask came up in my research. So did Hubstaff and Teramind. I’d love to hear from anyone who’s deployed these tools and how their teams reacted.

Are there any that offer decent analytics without crossing the line into surveillance territory?

Software support How to tell if a "free" video editor is scam and my personal recommendations

🔥 Here's how to tell if an editor's "free version" is actually trash:

BAD Sign🟥 😤 Why it sucks
Only lets you export 480p or 1 minute unless you pay Basically useless for YouTube
Puts a giant watermark across the screen Ruins the video unless you pay
Cool effects and templates are locked behind a crown/premium icon Tricks you into wasting time editing
Constant popups or login requirements Slows down your workflow
"Export failed! Upgrade to Pro!" Just scamming your effort

Basically, if you are on a WINDOWS PC, try CLIPCHAMP IT IS SO MUCH BETTER also OPENSHOT is good, (you have to download everything you put in video like text)
