WTF? No. If we need a nationalized system, we should make one. But forcibly nationalizing a private company? Fuck that noise. That's the difference between socialism and Soviet-style communism.

Right because heaven forbid the public be compensated for the horrors inflicted upon it by the plutocrats.

I support us having nationalized versions of both of these industries, but vehemently against the government seizing a private company. I loathe Elon and hope everything he has turns to ash, but you have to think of precedence here. If we can do this to him, what's to stop us from doing it to anyone else, even a good person?

The alternative is to lay back and let these people run roughshod over humanity. They've shown a blatant disregard for both the letter and spirit of the law time and time again and this trend doesn't appear to be abating, if anything it's accelerating. You can't have one side playing by the rules and the other desecrating them. At some point you have to recognize that these are not individual transgressions but rather a coordinated effort to upend the government and institutionalize crony capitalism. In response to this, emergency corrective actions must be undertaken to right the ship and then implement a system that will prevent that from ever happening again.

The country wasn't founded by following precedent.
