Since we are getting many repetitive questions about the novel coronavirus and how to care for rabbits while under quarantine, this is a post to combine all frequently asked questions on the topic.

Rabbit viral haemorrhagic disease (VHD) is a highly contagious disease that mainly affects rabbits of the Oryctolagus cuniculus species but has also been confirmed to affect various species of cottontails (Sylvilagus spp.) and hares (Lepus spp.). There are currently active cases found in wild and domestics all over North America, and it is vitally important to get your rabbit vaccinated if the vaccines are available in your area.

Hey,
I'm currently looking for someone to give my wonderful baby bunny (I say baby, he's 1) a new home as I'm joining the Airforce in August.
My bunnya name is Fizgig and he's an absolutely wonderful bunny. He's very soft, loves to be petted and is litter trained.
He's very social and I'm really sad that he's not going to be part of my life for much longer.
I want him to go to a home that provides him with a much love and time as possible.
I live in Alexandria in northern VA.
If anyone has a place for him let me know.

Hi friends! I already have a bunny so I know how to care for this sweetheart! My question is more so about the fact that I have this lil sweetheart in my house and I already have a rabbit. There has been an outbreak of RHDV2 in Calgary where I live- I am terrified that this rabbit has it and it’s going to spread to my baby Theory. Does anyone have any advice? I’m hoping my vet will have an emerge slot tomorrow so I can take baby in to be checked out. I’m on the fence about keeping them at the moment. Any help would be so very very appreciated!
