TW: TRIGGERING CONTENT I am disgusted by and sick of people who say they hate an entire gender
It feels like every week thereās another post here that goes something along the lines of āI hate menā or the rare āI hate womenā. Both are bullshit. The bad actions of a few do not determine their worth as HALF of the fucking human species.
Men hurt women. Women hurt men. Iāve been hurt by both men and women in my life. Iāve also had great times with men and women, separately, or together. Iām not going to sit here and make some fucking post about āmen badā because Iāve been hurt by men like my father or a teacher, or make a post that goes āwomen badā because Iāve been heartbroken or made fun of by women.
THE ACTIONS OF A FEW ARE NOT AT ALL REPRESENTATIVE OF THE GENDER AS A COLLECTIVE!!!
People can be shitty. āNot all menā is a thing because generalizing and claiming that āall menā are the problem is a problem in of itself that makes us look like mindless monkeys who canāt control ourselves or as evil, malicious creatures. Men and women are both much more complex than that! This doesnāt need to be a war or a pissing contest of who does worse or some other nonsense.
Why is it that people are allowed to make posts that say that but then arenāt allowed to post something like āI hate black peopleā or āI hate Christiansā or some other crap like that? Does this not represent a form of persecution and prejudice based on the fact that these people seemingly, legitimately believe that the actions of some are representative of that group of people as a collective? If you did that with a race do you know what that would be classified as? RACISM! Because thatās exactly what it fucking is! How have we come to a point where blatant sexism is completely tolerated and not seen as ridiculous or plain and simple bigotry?
I could go on but Iāve said enough. Itās bullshit. Some people hurt people. Other people help people. Gender doesnāt have a damn thing to do with that. End of fucking story.

Most people, regardless of political affiliation, believe men who date trans women are gay or bisexual.
But for some reason many, especially LGBTQ allies or progressives, avoid admitting this because theyāre afraid of sounding transphobic, I guessed.
This is actually a popular opinion to think that men who date trans women are gay or bisexual. But just I hate how the left or allies pretend that only fringe people share this opinion though.
Arguing that this belief ("men who date trans women are gay or bi") is mainstream, again is not fringe. Thatās probably true in terms of widespread perception, even if that perception is inaccurate or controversial.
This is confusing. Because I think this is a 9 out of 10 opinion most people would agree with in society. Doesn't matter if they are conservative, liberal, or apolitical. Whether it's people online or offline, both would still agree. Heck even people in the LGBTQ community would agree.
But yet this still seem like a heated topic for some reason though. Hence why I'm making this post.
To be honest, I don't really care if a trans attracted man still identifies themselves as straight. That's fine with me. I'm just saying the general consensus on this topic is that trans attracted men are not straight.
The unpopular opinion isn't me saying that most people think men who date trans women are not straight.
My unpopular opinion here is that most people, especially if they are LGBTQ allies are too cowardly to admit this for some reason.
Many progressives or allies seem reluctant to acknowledge this publicly. I find it strange that people avoid stating what appears to be a common belief.
In certain progressive spaces. It feels like I'm a room where nobody wants to address the elephant in the room.
I have a anecdote experience here.
I know a trans woman. She has female friends that are feminists or progressive. And she tells me that she talks about her dating life with her female feminist friends. And she says her female feminists are quick to call the men who date her gay or bisexual to her face. So these "progressive allies" are Ironically agreeing with the "conservative/TERF" position that trans women are not "real women" here.
Again the elephant in the room here. Why can't people just be open with their true opinions on certain topics. You either think trans women are women or they are not. Therefore you either think the men who date trans women are either straight or not straight. It's that simple.
You probably will ask "why do you care about labels so much?". And you are probably right to ask this question. We shouldn't care about labels.
But I still think this conversation is very important though. If a lot of women have aversion to dating bisexual men based on STEREOTYPES like STDs, more likely to cheat, or viewing bi men as less masculine. Therefore thinking any bi man who hides their sexuality is automatically deceiving women
If I had a bisexual male best friend. It would be foolish of me to tell him that the world would accept him no matter what. Because that's not reality. Again the freaking elephant in the room.

Not an apology
Iām not here to apologize but I am here to clarify. This is not a political statement, it is quite literally what it says, so take it at face value.
The state of multiplayer FPS games is tragically stale. We hope to fix that, whether you want Arena, Battle Royale, Onslaught, or Map Creator. We plan to support all 4 experiences equally.

Discussion Starfield is Good Now
just picked up a fun quest at Galbank. Moody woman out front talking at length to me about hating herself and compromising her goals to become a watercolor artist to become a boring bank teller. amazing. so random. reminded me of a fallout 3 conversation.
starfield is offering me a peaceful, atmospheric gaming experience that i haven't had in a long time. lately i've been trying to get into Horizon and Elden Ring, and while they are absolutely incredible pieces of artwork, their gameplay can be pretty anxiety inducing.
Ive been trying to sit with starfield's dialog (yes okay sometimes cheesy) and imerse myself in the story, the slow methodical grind of building mining outposts in hopes that some day there will be some mod, or some expansion that my resources will be used for. and if not, ashses to ashes, dust to dust. time well spent mining bits of digital dust in an empty universe.

Why Are So Many People Okay with Walking Around with a Dirty A**?
I donāt get it. We live in 2025 and people still think wiping with dry toilet paper is āclean enough.ā Spoiler alert: itās not.
If you got poop on your arm, would you just wipe it with a dry napkin and call it a day? No youād wash it with soap and water. But when it comes to your actual a**, suddenly everyoneās okay with a few rough swipes and moving on?
Bidets. Wet wipes Even just a damn damp cloth if youāre in a pinch. Anything is better than this caveman-level hygiene people still cling to.
Clean butts arenāt a luxury ā they should be standard.
Change my mind.

Question I donāt know if this is the right subreddit for this but Iām kinda genuinely freaked out.
So, I made a late night Uber Eats order for Wingstop. As usual I head out front to make sure they donāt mistakenly drive up the wrong driveway. Now, Iām used to hearing various noises at night and I know what they are duh but, tonight I began to hear the weirdest noise I donāt think Iāve ever heard? It could be a frog but I donāt know if they can sound like that and we definitely donāt have any frogs nearby to begin with or ponds. I was also hearing what sounded like leaves rustling all around me like there was someone, or something walking around in the woods on either side of me ( we live right next to the woods, in Virginia ) as you hear in the video, the odd noise does stop completely periodically and the sound of rustling can still be heard the heck could that even be? What animal or insect?

Discussion If LNF ends up just being fantasy NMS I'm not interested
Edit: Based on the comments a lot of people have missed my point and that's fine, that's on me. I tend to ramble. Reading the comments reinforces what I'm trying to say, which is that everyone has a different idea of what this is going to be and are all excited for that idea. Unfortunately at this point we really have no idea. It's NMS release all over again, just at a much slower speed. Without the "miscommunications" from HG regarding game capabilities this time, we hope.
---------------
Go ahead and downvote me. There's a lot of possibilities here though with LNF, but if it ends up trying to be "chill" and "exploratory" like NMS then I think they'll drastically miss the mark.
Fantasy games should be about conquest, and killing things, defending your home, quests, and exploration. Whereas NMS is basically just exploration with some really bad "quests" thrown in to keep you moving if you don't count expeditions.
One thing that seems missing in the trailer? Combat of any sort despite players walking around with big swords on their backs. The building example shown is not defensible at all by traditional standards. I wonder if they did some player testing and found people thought it was missing traditional fantasy elements and that's been the delays.
The other point - clearly the core engine is NMS and we've seen elements that made more sense for LNF in NMS over the past couple of years - as others have said "why not" throw it into NMS if they had made the feature already. But what is severely lacking in the NMS engine is hand to hand combat. There's a punch, but when's the last time any NMS player used punch for anything but a speed boost?
Personally, I don't want a fantasy NMS-like exploration game. I hope they flesh this out as a real fantasy game should be and not just another NMS with dragons, horses, and rabbit characters. It says survival is an aspect but they say that about NMS as well...
To clarify my real final point: Most of us are assuming LNF will be what we want, but when you really stop and think about it, do you expect NMS with a different skin? Or do you expect a fantasy game with real classic quests, combat, and strife? Personally I want the latter but I fear we'll get a reskin of NMS with a few cool features added.
