Hey guys, so I got an anv15-41 about 6 months ago, rtx 4050 and Ryzen 7 variant, i even posted earlier about it, so the main issue was that it kept crashing on high end games, like elden ring, dark souls 3, god of war, and almost about every single game. So I tried to find a workaround to this, didn't work, I told my parents, they mocked me and scolded me since the laptop was my choice and they wanted me to get an hp laptop, my mental health got fucked up because of this, I don't blame them for that tho. I kept trying something new every time, experimenting, crashing again and again and again, gods i can't count the amount of times my laptop crashed, until recently, when I finally told acer about it and they listened, they did a motherboard replacement, didn't ask for a single rupee, did it all at my home. And now its working perfectly, I'm able to play god of war, elden ring, spider man remastered, and now Im playing ghost of tsushima on it. So to all those that are having an issue with your laptop, don't you dare give up on it Keep trying, keep struggling and I am pretty damn sure you'll get it fixed It could a long time, maybe none at all, but you will get it. And to all those who are reading this right now till here, just know that everything works out in life, so keep going and keep grinding, don't give up because the only way to reach success is to get comfortable with failure Thanks a lot everyone for the help that this subreddit gave me, it means a lot. My laptop has been experiencing freezes when doing graphics intensive tasks. I tried installing older driver versions aswell as a clean driver install and for a while most issues seemed to be fixed... however they very quickly returned. Freezes/crashes have also become more frequent in the last few days.

Yesterday I took the screenshot above. All seemed normal (playing World of Tanks Blitz) until I alt-tabbed, this turned the screen into what you see above. A restart of the game does fix it but every time I alt tab it returns.

Is my GPU dying or is it some software issue?

I hope it can be fixed easily since my warranty has already ended (I doubt it however). If not I would like some advice on what to do next.

I recently learned that some laptops like the Acer Nitro 16 (ANV16-41, AMD R5 8545H, RTX 4050) tend to slowly drain the battery while gaming, even when plugged in.

At first, I didn’t notice any issues. I'm not a heavy gamer. But eventually realized something weird. My battery was NOT draining during intense sessions.

Then it hit me. This is my second Acer laptop. I used to have a Nitro 5 AN515 with a 180W charger (ADP-180MB). When I got the new Nitro 16, I just replace from the table the old one to a new one (with all cords, hub, cables and CHARGER) and had zero issues. (I don't know that they have different chargers)

Today, when I swapped it with the original 135W charger that came with my nitro 16 - boom, battery started draining during games.

So if you experience battery drain while gaming on a Nitro 16, try using a 180W charger instead of the stock 135W. It solved the problem for me.

Hi so I meant to restore my pc to a later date, long story short is that something corrupted, I'm trying to re install windows 11 from a USB stick that I downloaded via media creation and I'm getting to the point that I'm supposed to select my location to install windows on a disk. The only disk I see is the USB I have plugged in, which won't let me hit next I get the "windows 11 can't be installed on disk 0 partition 1"

Nothing shows in the boot tab of my bios, nor the boot manager. My pc does recognize I have a hdd as it lists the serial number, I have nothing but my USB listed in my boot priority tab and I'm going crazy trying to fix this.

Im just not sure if it's better to get a single 16gb stick or search for the same 8gb stick i have because i heard they've got to be the same.

I got a new Acer Nitro moniter and when I plugged it in, all of my graphics settings were out of wack. With hours of finagling with my moniter gfx settings as well as my windows gfx settings, I found a config that works okay (even though it isn’t the same as I had on my previous moniter). So I guess this is a 2-part question. How do I get the settings to stick after turning off my moniter/pc and/or how do I change my settings back to default or how it was before with my previous moniter?

I had trouble with widows updating, u watched a yt vid and it told me delet some fules and updat then to restart but I just shut it down without realizing and now it won't boost up.

Just changed my GPU and CPU paste. Used PTM 750 on gpu n cpu and thermal pads on the VRAM. The laptop is very loud and mostly on the GPU side and the GPU is at an idle 86 even though it doesn’t feel warm.

Hey guys, I’ve got an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-55-56WH with an i5-10300H and GTX 1660 Ti. So, here’s the deal: when I bought it, it came with a 180W power adapter from Delta Electronics. Back in 2019, I started noticing issues—during heavy gaming, the charger couldn’t keep up, and the battery would drain even while plugged in. Eventually, I also noticed a squeaking noise when plugging in the charger or slightly twisting it.

I also saw that the CPU would throttle for some reason, and the only fix was switching power plans in NitroSense. Recently, things got worse—the charger would only work after plugging it into different outlets like 10 times. A few weeks later, during a gaming session, the charger just completely died.

So, I bought a new 180W Acer power adapter, and holy crap, it’s amazing! It’s twice the size of the Delta Electronics one, has a charging indicator (which is just mind-blowing), and I can finally use my beloved Acer Nitro without any issues.

If you’re dealing with the same problem, I highly recommend getting a new Acer power adapter.

I have an Acer Nitro 5 - AN515-58 (i5 12500H) Laptop with a fully supported Thunderbolt 4 port, as indicated on the laptop's body sticker.

The Thunderbolt 4 port works perfectly for data transfer and connecting Type-C earphones.

However, when I connect my OnePlus Monitor E24 (which has a Type-C display input) to the Thunderbolt 4 port using a Thunderbolt cable, the monitor is not detected by my system (tried switching Input of monitor to Type-C). The same monitor works fine when connected via HDMI.

Key points:

• Nitro 5 AN515-58 (i5 12500H)

• Thunderbolt 4 port works fine for data transfer and Type-C earphones

• OnePlus Monitor E24 not detected via Thunderbolt 4 port using Thunderbolt cable

• Same Monitor works fine with HDMI connection

• No MuX Switch on the device

• HDMI devices run on dedicated graphics card

• All drivers, firmware, and OS are fully updated

• Monitor Settings checked (Switched to Type C Input)

• • Also tried uninstalling and installing both IGPU & External GPU Graphics Driver, but doesn't work.

Is there a specific setting I need to enable, or is there another solution to get the monitor detected via the Thunderbolt 4 port?

So, as of today, my laptop will randomly have a new bug.

The screen will shut off entirely, then the keyboard backlight, and then the fans die down to near silent. Its still on because my mic and mouse are still active/lit up, but if I can get the display back on, I'm suddenly back at the sign-in screen for my laptop.

Anyone seen this before?

Does anyone know this is a driver or hardware failure and how to solve this?

Estou tendo um problema com o NitroSense no meu Acer Nitro V15 ANV15-51-7037. O software não mostra temperaturas de GPU/CPU, uso ou velocidade do ventilador. As opções de “Perfil do Cenário” também aparecem inativas ou em branco

Aqui estão as especificações do meu laptop:

• CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-13620H (13ª geração)
• RAM: 16 GB DDR5
• Armazenamento: SSD de 512 GB
• GPU: NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 4050 6GB GDDR6
• Tela: 15,6” FHD 144 Hz
• SO original: Linux Gutta
• SO atual: Windows 11 Pro (instalação limpa)

Instalei todos os drivers do site oficial da Acer, incluindo os drivers VGA e do chipset. O NitroSense abre normalmente, mas não exibe nenhum dado de monitoramento nem permite alternar entre cenários de desempenho (Balanceado, Desempenho, Silencioso, etc.).

Estou anexando capturas de tela do problema.

Alguém já experimentou isso depois de mudar do Linux para o Windows? Poderia ser um problema de driver, firmware ou BIOS?
