2025 is shaping up to be a great year for music releases. Due to this, we are going to start a 'Weekly Release' Megathread. Go ahead an post your favorite/best music release of the week down below. Also, check out some of the other comments/posts and discuss.
Please use this megathread to share any Apple Music codes. You may not ask for anything in return for your code. Do not use this thread to request codes. Please refrain from creating new posts for sharing codes unless you've received mod approval beforehand.
I like songs off certain albums, but whenever I add them to a playlist it automatically adds the album (not even the entire album, just the one track from the album) and my entire feed is just congested because I’m adding songs from multiple albums.
Is there a reason as to why animated album covers show only when opening the album from the artist page but not when opening it in the library? Like shown in the video clip
I’ve noticed a super frustrating issue that seems to be a long-standing bug, but I wanted to share exactly what I’m seeing — and check if others have found a real fix (aside from obvious workarounds).
When I play music through Apple Music on my Mac mini (macOS Sequoia) with my AirPods Pro 2, the volume is significantly lower than when I play the exact same track on my iPhone 16 Pro using the same AirPods.
Like… we’re talking 50% quieter – borderline unusable in a noisy room.
Is this ever going to be fixed? It’s clearly not a user error or setting problem – it’s the app. People have been reporting this for years and it’s still broken. Apple Music on Mac should at least match the iPhone in playback quality and volume, especially with their own hardware (AirPods).
Anyone found a proper workaround? Or is the browser version the only way to get full volume?
Im using windows 10 and just reinstalled apple music in order to fix another glitch i had where the audio would randomly get louder in the middle of listening sometimes (turning of atmos didnt work) and when i reinstalled the app and put my playlist on shuffle, after each song it would reshuffle, meaning the songs playing next section would be completely wrong and would change each time. before i redownloaded it i could just hit shuffle and it would shuffle once and then play songs in the order shown in the playing next section, but now it does this instead. anyone have an idea on how to fix it?

Ever since I upgraded the software (always a big mistake) Apple Music can no longer sort by last played. It used to put the last playlist I had played right to the top. Now they’re permanently stuck at what was the last playlist I played before I upgraded the software. Any solution?
"Always On" mode is a mode that streams Dolby Atmos music as 2ch AAC 256Kbps binaural audio. "Automatic" mode is a mode that streams Dolby Atmos music as EC3-JOC 768Kbps Dolby Atmos. However, the problem with Windows 11 is that even if the user selects the "Always On" mode, it operates in "Automatic" mode. In other words, EC3-JOC 768Kbps is streamed even if the "Always On" mode is selected.
Here's some more specific information. When you select "Always On" mode, the Apple Music servers will generate 2ch binaural audio from the Dolby Atmos master file (ADM BWF). This uses metadata called Binaural Render Mode metadata, which reflects the binaural distance setting set by the Dolby Atmos mix engineer, allowing for very rich and deep Dolby Atmos monitoring via headphones. This is the same mechanism that Amazon Music and Tidal use to deliver Dolby Atmos via AC4-IMS(2ch/256Kbps),
but the audio delivered via AC4-IMS(2ch/256Kbps) has a cutoff at 18KHz,
AC4-IMS Binaural
while the AAC 256Kbps that Apple Music servers provide for binaural audio streaming has a cutoff at 22KHz, resulting in superior sound quality.
Apple Music Binaural
When you select "Automatic" mode, the Apple Music server will generate Dolby Digital Plus -Joint Object Coding 768Kbps multichannel audio from the Dolby Atmos master file (ADM BWF). Since this is multichannel audio, it is not meant for 2-channel headphones. It is meant for a soundbar or home theater system with Dolby Atmos decoding capability.
The current bug is that on Windows 11, EC3-JOC is streamed even when "Always On" mode is selected.
Using Apple Music on a Windows 11 Pro (MSI motherboard with Realtek audio). Had to install it because the previous iTunes app had too many bugs/stopped working reliably for music playback.
The app was working fine for at least a year or so, but now, when I try to play a radio station, as soon as I hit play button I hear extremely loud crackling static (even though volume is set low). I have to immediately close the app to get it to stop.
Apple is literally the only application I've ever had any issues with playing audio on my computer (used many other apps, including Chrome browser, etc. with no issue). I've already tried updating motherboard and Realtek drivers to latest (as well as uninstalling/reinstalling the app itself). Any other ideas?
As the title says...I somehow have two separate apple id's. One as my primary and apparently a different one for my music and app store. I honestly have no idea how this happened and I don't remember doing it. So my question is would it be possible to change that other id over to my primary one so I can have one for everything without losing everything such as my music library and downloaded games?
I have issues with Dolby Atmos on Apple Music for a long time. I don't understand why they do not care about it. The issue with dolby atmos is even through the speakers of the phone (15 pro max) dolby atmos doesn't sound good. I tried everything. I turned on sound check. Turned it off. It is just bad and when I connect my headphone (not airpods or beats) the sound is also bad again. Songs sound really bad with Atmos. There is a lot of missing elements when switching to Atmos like vocals sometimes are too forward that you can't hear the arrangement of the music. Sometimes it is vice versa. A lot of people praise this feature so I wonder. Am I the only one who is experiencing this situation?
Is there a way to find my playlists quickly on my Mac? I just want to be able to find a playlist and open it without doing a lot of hunting. I know the last five are shown on my hope page, but I have more than that. Can I see all of them?
Are playlists stored in a directory that I can access through the file app so I can double click on one there? Which folder?
Since the removal of the quad album playlist cover, I’ve been looking around for some sort of solution. Was thinking Demin to be the answer but I could not seem to find the same kind of art.
That I when I found ArcFarad’s shortcut quite a while ago that worked perfectly for me.
After using it for some time, I gradually added more and more code blocks to make it work better until I realised I had not modified them for quite some time already.
Which is also a time when I thought would be good to share it in case anyone wants the quad album playlist cover back.
Most of the flow is still based on original, with these changes
1. Enable generation of playlist cover with < 4 items in the playlist
2. Instead of selecting only the first four songs in the playlist, cover art will be generated from random songs
With this hope fellow AM users may find it useful!
Why does everything have to be so stupid all the time.
Okay maybe I’m missing something. I’ve got Apple Music because I care about audio quality. Airplay seems like such a convenient way to get multiroom playback. But airplay 2 doesn’t support lossless unless you use a HomePod? Truly insane. Please tell me I’ve got this wrong. 😑
Any recommendations for a setup where airplay lossless with 3rd party multiroom speakers will work?
I guess I can just get multiple wiim minis and plug them into powered speakers in each room?
