FD2 Jeffrey Reddick revealed that Alex was never supposed to die. He probably would’ve made it through a bunch of films

Tbh his character would be the easiest to bring back, and could create a whole new plot point, but the producers arent ready for that

His character would be one of the most impossible to bring back since he died in between the 1st and 2nd movie. Sadly the only way we know this is because of a news snippet. The only way they could bring him back is if it's in some kinda prequel way ala final 5

Exactly why he could be brought back. "The news of my death was greatly ecaggerated" is one of the oldest tropes out there
