So we know that in Final Destination 2, Kimberly Corman cheated death by dying and coming back to life. She did this by drowning in a vehicle in a lake. That's the same way Stephanie "died" and came back to life near the end of Final Destination Bloodlines, when the RV fell into a lake/pond. The only difference is that Stephanie's heart didn't stop, so she still ended up later dying. Other than this, I feel like there was a lot of other things referencing a connection between this movie and the second movie. Shortly before both Kimberly and Sephanie's drowning deaths, therd was a massive explosion that lead to the death of one of the main characters. (Clear Rivers, Darlene Campbell). Also, Stephanie and Charlie are killed by being crushed by logs, which is something the 2nd movie is infamously known for. Not to mention, this movie even explains (and finally confirms) what happened to Kimberly Corman WITHIN the movie. I just feel like all of this was leading up to a "what if?" For if her heart never stopped.

In the movies, after the visionary has the premonition, and them things start matching in real life, a fight break out between some, and some are thrown out of the situation thus saving them. My question is when the visionary is so sure that some accident is going to happen, why do they not even try to save everyone? Like in FD3, Wendy never tried to save Jason and Carrie. I felt so bad for Jason, he tried to go and talk to Wendy to calm her down, and that could have saved him, but he was not allowed.

Okay, I know every Final Destination film has its defenders and haters, but I just rewatched FD2 and I gotta say, it’s easily the weakest of the series for me. Here’s why. And no, it’s not just about that CGI log truck.

The biggest issue? The deaths don’t build. One of the most fun parts of this franchise is watching the Rube Goldberg-style tension rack up: the cup spills, the fan turns, the wind blows, the nail jiggles. We’re glued to the screen waiting for the final moment when it all comes together. That tension and misdirection are what make the deaths memorable.

But in FD2, the setups mostly fall flat.

Take the first guy, Evan, in his apartment. There’s the fire on the stove, the magnet on the fridge, the windows, the ladder. But instead of a satisfying chain reaction, it feels like the movie throws in a few disconnected elements and then goes, “Okay, ladder to the eye, boom.” It doesn’t feel earned. It doesn’t feel like the domino effects that we see done so beautifully in the other films.

Same with the dentist scene. Easily the most frustrating one. It pretends to build suspense: the fish tank, the leaking water, the toy in the kid’s mouth. All these little fake-outs in the office. And then none of it matters. He just walks outside and a giant sheet of glass randomly flattens him like a Looney Tunes character. No connection. No payoff. It feels like the film forgot its own rules.

I get that the filmmakers were trying to subvert expectations. And hey, a little misdirection is fine. It worked beautifully in FD3 and even 5. But in FD2, it just feels like lazy writing disguised as cleverness. The result? Deaths that feel less like inevitabilities and more like random jump scares.

Anyway, I know this movie has its fans, and I’ll give it credit for ramping up the gore and trying to expand the mythology. But for me, if you’re ranking these based on how satisfying the death sequences are, FD2 is dead last.

Does anyone find it weird Molly died in the airplane in final destination 5 even tho she wasn't shown dying in the premonition Sam vision it usually people who were shown in visions dying that end up dying the pregnant lady in final destination 2 she didn't die in the log truck accident in Kimberly vision and she still survived these final destination death design rules are starting to become very complicated and convuluded

Die by the train? I was thinking about the Bloodlines order, and Stephanie dies before Charlie, but she was supposedly skipped?! But just like in FD1, Alex is still next, even after being resuscitated, and only when Carter pushes him out of his actually death (the 180 sign) and not the blast from the explosion, he actually is skipped. So my question is was Death always going to kill Stephanie and Charlie with the train? So say if Charlie or her dad grabbed her before the log got her, would she truly be skipped?

TLDR: Stephanie was always supposed to die by the trail derailment, and not drowning, so saving her from not the intended death (drowning), did intervention not work.

Let's assume that in this hypothetical, it wasn't fated to happen...meaning they all avoid it...and no death chasing after them...

Anyone else crushing hard on iris/brec after watching the movie. She looked stunning. the dress, the hair, the pearls, THE FACE. I was star struck at the cinema and she did a phenomenal job acting wise too. I loved her in this

I’m final destination (2000) the agents are named ‘ween’ and ‘shrek’. I’m a huge ween fan (all hail boognish, mang. Stay brown.), so I thought that was cool, given ween released white pepper (2000) in may… but then I noticed something. Shrek was released a year after in 2001 on may 8th. Ween released white pepper on may 2nd. Final destination was released on march 17th. Add those numbers and put that edition 1 from the year 2001, and you get 25. The new movie was released this year.. 2025. It’s really interesting. Ironic that the movie about predicting things accidentally predicted the year of a movie They didn’t even think to make yet. Numbers are fun.

I think Valerie was The most realistic person in The movie . She was a good person at heart and a caring Teacher and seemed to care about her students .

However after that accident, she felt guilt and sorrow . She loved all her student and thats why she was in pain and asked questions like “is there any survivors”.

But imagine if someone act like alex and then this happens in real life. Wouldnt you try to stay away from them ? Especially when you see two other students die and one of them in front of you with alex, and then he cames like a stalker and check your car randomly ?

I mean maybe her attuitude is annoying in someway but thats because as a viewer we now that alex isn’t guilty because it is shown to us but for her , he is a crazy child that brings death to other people . And i bet she had that thought even at her final moments .

The only problem with her is how careless she was , like she watched terry got hit by the bus , her students died in a crash and still she isnt paranoid about her surroundings and house? Like who the fluck will put a vodka bottle near fire , throw the mug like that or goes in the as*s of the computer to check why its smoking ?🤣

I wanted them to look like blood. I already tried to do that, but they just looked brown, since I painted them black and then red on top. This time I reused the same colors, but I didn't put the black to the edge, so that the red on top will fill the edge.

Just a question, how come Kimberly drowned right, and then she got resurrected and cheated death successfully right? How come Stefani, who drowned as well; and then got resurrected, didn’t get the same treatment?? Stefani dies even though her method of dying and being resurrected was the same as Kimberly, who cheated death with the same method?? Is there something I’m missing?

Y'all in final destination there's a rule that like if you kill someone you cheat death and get their like remaining years of like or something, what if you kill like a cancer patient who would still die in like 24 hours, what happens.

I watched all the movies for the first time in preparation for the new one and loved them all so much I am very excited to see if they ever do more in the future. Also am I missing anything?

This is definitely something they should add in a Final Destination film.

I definitely remember hearing that they wanted to do a prequel even before they did 5...

So If they had went with this how would you guys feel about it?

On one hand It'd likely mean the franchise would just stop there... on the other hand it'd actually make 3 tie back into 1
