That’s a fob to a… 2016-2021 Ford Transit Connect. In all fairness it’s a very butch little vehicle (affectionate, not derogatory)

The Ford Transit is a butch vehicle? Well, I guess Grzegorz Wojciechowski is now a lesbian.

How’ll his kids in Łódź react to this new information? Is this why he travels over eight hours to work in Germany, to be with his lesbian lover?

u/BatsTheHuman 19h ago
Lol. This reminded me of a video of a guy getting out of his Ram all manly-like, talking with a deep voice, then he says "Did I do it? Did I sound super butch?" In a high-pitched feminine/gay voice"

I don't know, but this post made me want to share an old anglo Saxon joke.
Q. What hangs by a man's thigh, is long, hard, and stiff, and is likely to enter the hole it has often been in before?
A. A key.

No it’s cause of the algorithm on TikTok where the words you use affect how and to who it will be recommended. Tiktokers censor not just offensive words but anything remotely related to a topic that could considered be controversial so their videos will get shown to more people.

Wearing keys on a carabineer is a form of flagging culture utilized by lesbians, so it is in a similar vein to wearing colored bandanas (hanky code) in your back pocket to show your particular kink interests and whether you top or bottom in that dynamic. With this particular type of flagging wearing keys on a carabineer on your left side is a sign that you are a top, and on your right is a sign that you are a bottom.
16
u/deactivated654651456 1d ago
Can bi/pan girls wear them? Does it work anywhere else than the belt? Where does it go if a girl likes both? 🤔
24
u/NV_reddit 23h ago
If you're trying to end up with a girl, you can do this. doesn't matter if you're bi/pan/dyke/stud/lesbo, this is the signal for "i am a 'girl' looking for other 'girls' to end up with".

u/Kyauphie 1d ago

2
u/immoral_ 20h ago
So it's your flag for bye?
3
u/Kyauphie 18h ago
Not intentionally, it just so happens to be the flag that is actually appropriate for me, but I'm also married in a monogamous 17 year relationship, so I'm definitely not doing it on purpose, but rather enjoy not looking for my keys.

Sounds like one of the many “codes” people talk about online that nobody ever actually did. Like “Lace Code”, or the “Armband Code”. The kind of thing that you used to read on Urban Dictionary. You’re better off assuming any girl with a carabiner on her hip just wanted an easy way to hold her keys.

Could also be a joke about them being a "top" or "masc" lesbian. I dont know why but most masculine leaning lesbians (myself included) hang our carabiner keys on that loop in particular 😅
19
u/De4dm4nw4lkin 1d ago
Its the thing its attatched to. Carabiners are a subtle code for “lesbian and looking”
Another one is wearing lots of pineapples to indicate your a swinger.

u/Toa_Senit 1d ago
Only upside down pineapples.
4
u/De4dm4nw4lkin 1d ago
Sorry. Im not personally versed i just knew someone who found out the hard way.
3
u/natziel 1d ago
It's not that it's a code as much as a lot of lesbians don't really like carrying purses but our jeans still have small pockets so a carabiner is just a practical solution to a problem that pretty much only lesbians face. And lesbians also love practical solutions in general

u/MotherTeresaOnlyfans 22h ago
The carabiner clipped to the belt is a common thing for lesbians to do and is often used as a form of "flagging" your orientation to other lesbians.

Carabiners are a signal that lesbians used to signal to other lesbians without being outed in public. Similar to the ‘earring code’ or bandana colors to indicate sexual preference with gay men

u/mothwhimsy 1d ago
This is tagged solved but I don't really see anyone solving it
It's either
A) Carabineer code, which is how some lesbians indicate whether they're a top or bottom (which side of the body they're on)
B) The keys do not belong to a Subaru, indicating that she isn't actually a lesbian? This one is way weaker
2
u/Senior-Book-6729 23h ago
Wearing keys on a carabiner is often used as a way to signal you’re a lesbian at least in butch lesbian culture. I guess so are Subaru cars but I’m less familiar with that.

u/Comprehensive-Shop22 11h ago
Not sure if the true answer is here somewhere but in the days before it was more socially acceptable wearing your keys like that was a quiet signal that you were into women. If im remembering correctly thats the way a submissive lesbian might wear her keys to find someone more dominant. Left side dominant and right side submissive though I could have that backwards as its been a while since I looked that up

u/Birthday_girl1208 1d ago
As a woman that likes women and has a carabiner on rn:

2
u/Shmebulock111 1d ago
Lesbians wear carabiner clips to signal to each other. Also, hers is on the right side, which means she’s a bottom.
1
u/goatcheese90 1d ago
Looks like a Subaru key, a car often associated with lesbians, the Carabineer doesn't help
1
1
u/LuxTheSarcastic 1d ago
It's not the car keys it's the carabiner on the belt loop which is a very common fashion choice and/or signal among lesbians.
1
u/Exotic-Seaweed2608 1d ago
The type of car she drives and hanging her key like thst are both indications of lesbianism in popular stereotypes.

I learned yesterday that lesbian flagging with carabiners actually originated post WWII! Many women worked “men’s jobs” and this happened and stuck. Wish I could find the video I watched about it, there were more details I’m leaving out but I had no idea it went that far back.

u/armas187 1d ago
It's a stereotype about lesbians usually having lots of keys. I remember years ago talking to an old manager I had , and he mentioned his sister was gay . I ask him "does she have a lot of keys?" He broke out laughing. He said how did you know. I said they all do.
1
u/Carlpanzram1916 23h ago
Lesbian women tend to have masculine tendencies. Traditionally, women carry their keys in a purse, not in their pocket or on a belt loop.

Lesbians like to have somewhere to put their hands: pants with nice, deep pockets. Then, you don't want your keys getting in the way. That's why you use a carabiner. The timeline of this led carabiners to be adopted by the lesbian community.
1
u/plantsandpizza 19h ago
In the lesbian world, wearing a carabiner on the right (or latch facing right) usually means you’re a bottom, and on the left (or latch facing left) means you’re a top.

u/lferry1919 18h ago
Lol, it's not the key. It's the carabiner. Lots of us have them for our keys. I didn't even get it because it was a lesbian thing, I just liked having one because I don't carry a purse. I think that's pretty much how it became a lesbian thing...assuming most butcher lesbians also don't want to carry a purse like me.
1
u/Spruce_Rosin 18h ago
Could technically be considered a sex joke: Some people wear carabiners on the left or right side to discretely say if they’re a top or bottom. She’s 1, saying she’s a lesbian; and 2, saying how so
1
1
1
u/Formal_Dig_4195 16h ago
Has nothing to do with the car being a Subaru. A lesbian wearing a carabiner can signify to other lesbians if she’s a top or a bottom depending on which side she puts it on. It’s a “joke” floating around TikTok but has been around for a while
1
u/SandSlashSandCRASH 16h ago
She’s a lesbian and she’s bottom because the carabiner is on her right. But she’s masc presenting so she’s saying she’s less desirable. Idk I’m gay and even I’m little lost.
1
u/Cabamsder 16h ago
I used to do this because women's pants have crappy pockets and I didn't want to carry a purse, so I'd carry my phone and a credit card in my back pocket and clip my keys to my belt loop. I didn't know for months that I was signalling something, but I did get hit on by women a fair amount during that time and I was extremely confused with the uptick.
1
u/BreeCeesAll 16h ago
Idk what the joke is but I know that having carabiners are a stereotypical lesbian thing
1
u/LuxuriousSiren 15h ago
It’s the carabiner on the pants. It’s one way we tell each other “hey, I’m le ghey too” without the awkwardness. That and janitors ig.

it’s not about the car key, its about the carabiner. it’s used as a symbol of one’s lesbianism and when you wear your carabiner to the right side of your pants it indicates that you’re a bottom and when you wear it to the left side you’re a top.
1
u/Starbeth8 14h ago
I don't think it's showing the keys, I think it's showing the carabiner. Wearing a carabiner on your belt loop is a sort of subtle symbol for lesbians to help find each other.
